Senator Rand Paul Accuses Dr. Fauci of Lying About Gain-of-Function Research at Wuhan Lab

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul reminds Dr. Anthony Fauci that it is a crime to lie to Congress and asks him if he would like to retract testimony he gave on May 11 where he said that the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab. Fauci says he didn't lie in his previous testimony and that he doesn't lie to Congress and therefore has nothing to retract. He says the senator doesn't know what he's talking about and adds: "You are implying what we did was responsible for the deaths of individuals I totally resent that and if anyone is lying here Senator, it is you." close
