Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell says the 2,702-page bipartisan infrastructure bill drafted over the weekend should serve as a "good and important jumping off point for what needs to be a robust and bipartisan process out here on the floor" and that it should "not be choked off by any artificial timetable our Democratic colleagues may have penciled out for political purposes." The $1.2 trillion measure was agreed to late last week by a bipartisan group of senators led by Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and backed by the White House. close
