With federal highway funding set to expire at midnight on October 31, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urges lawmakers to end uncertainty over future funding and back the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed by the Senate. If the House doesn't take up and pass the bill a stop-gap measure would be needed to extend highway funding to avoid disruption to ongoing federal infrastructure projects.
