David Davis, a former leadership contender for the Conservative Party and Brexit secretary, calls on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign over parties that were held at Downing Street during the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020. Davis says the prime minister has refused to take responsibility for the lockdown breaches and says its time for him to go. "I'll remind him of a quotation all too familiar to him of Leo Amery to Neville Chamberlain: 'You have sat there too long for all the good you have done. In the name of God, go.'" close
