In an address to the U.N. General Assembly ahead of a vote on a resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield calls on Russia to end the conflict and respect it's neighbor's sovereignty and for Belarus to stop supporting the war and allowing its territory to be used by Russia to facilitate its aggression. Ambassador Greenfield says Russia has been using weaponry that has no place on the battlefield, including cluster and vacuum bombs. She also says the upcoming vote is a simple vote and urges members to hold Russia accountable for their actions. close
