White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator says that vaccinations for children under five could begin as early as June 21 if the FDA approves the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines when it meets June 14. The CDC must then weigh in with its recommendation if the FDA gives the green light. Jha says the administration is "planning for all sorts of scenarios" based on what the FDA and CDC decide. He says that 10 million doses will be made available to states, pharmacies and community health centers, and federal entities and states can start placing orders this week. close
