Jason Miller Says President Trump Dictated Statement That VP Pence Could Determine Election

Jason Miller tells the January 6 Committee in a taped deposition that President Trump dictated a statement over the phone in response to a New York Times report on January 5 that the president and vice president were at odds over the latter's role in Electoral College certification. In the statement, President Trump called the New York Times story "false" and said the two men were in agreement that the vice president could act. "He dictated most of it...and ultimately, this came out the way that he wanted to," Miller says.
