White House Condemns North Korea

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre condemns North Korea's launch of a long-range ballistic missile over Japan just days after Vice President Harris visited the DMZ, calling it "dangerous and reckless." She says it was "a danger to the Japanese people, destabilizing to the region, and a clear violation of the United Nations Security Council resolution." She goes on to say that President has spoken with the Japanese Prime Minister and reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to Japan's defense. close
