Texas Republican Representative Chip Roy speaks in opposition to the $1.7 trillion Omnibus Spending Bill, which includes funding for the war in Ukraine. He condemns the process that led to the creation of the large spending package instead of passing individual appropriations bills. "Everything that the American people is watching right now is a complete sham. It's a fraud," Roy says, complaining about the inability to be able to offer amendments on the bill. He also criticizes the 18 Republicans who joined Democrats in passing the bill on Thursday, saying lawmakers are spending money the country doesn't have, saying Congress should be ashamed of itself. close
