Secretary of State Antony Blinken addresses the United Nations Security Council on the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Blinken says that one year on "nations around the world continue to stand with Ukraine." And he warns that if they abandon Ukraine to Russia they will in effect be abandoning the U.N. Charter. He also says that no member of the U.N. Security Council should call for peace while also supporting Russia's war. He says that the U.N. has the power and the responsibility to create a world where Ukrainians can live in peace in their own country. "We cannot and we will not let one country destroy it," he says in closing. close
