Speaking after a NATO ministerial meeting in Oslo, Norway, Secretary of State Antony Blinken calls for a "de-escalation" by Serbia and Kosovo, saying recent actions there "move Kosovo and Serbia in the wrong direction." He urges both sides to return to the normalization process and the EU-led effort that he says will "ensure they have a future integration in the Euro-Atlantic community." Secretary Blinken says U.S. concerns have been communicated to regional leaders, including Prime Minister Albin Kurti who recently installed ethnically Albanian mayors following a boycott of local elections in Serb-majority areas in the north. close
