"The way that the president's demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts, and clearly, politically motivated, gratuitous," she said.
In a report on his investigation into the president's handling of classified documents, Mr. Hur said the president's memory was "significantly limited" in the interviews they conducted with him, adding that he would likely present himself to a jury as "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
The special counsel concluded that the president "willfully retained" classified documents but declined to bring charges.
