U.S. Embassy in Libya Evacuated

The U.S. Embassy in Libya has been shut down and personnel evacuated to Tunisia, according to the Associated Press.

The State Department has also issued a travel warning to U.S. citizens in the country.

In May, U.S. Ambassador to Libya Deborah Jones discussed growing violence in the country and the political transition since the fall of Moammar Gaddafi.
