The House agreed to the Senate amendment to the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 3251 Congress Bicentennial Coins, clearing it for the president’s action. Also the House cleared for the president S. 2527 Plant Closing Notification to require advance notification of plant closing and mass layoffs. In addition the House passed H.R. 4848 Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act to enhance the competitiveness of American industry.
