Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
House Session - July 27, 1988

The House passed H.R. 4519 Arizona-Florida Land Exchange Act to provide for the disposition of certain lands in Arizona under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior by means of exchange of lands that will enable it to acquire conservation lands, H.R. 5026 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations making dire emergency supplemental money authorization for FY88, and H.R. 1516 Tongass National Forest Appropriations to require annual appropriations of funds necessary to support timber management and resource conservation on the Tongass National Forest. Also the House agreed to the Senate amendment to H.R. 1860 Federal Land Exchange Facilitation Act of 1987 returning the measure to the Senate. In addition the House insisted on its amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 1226 to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
