The House passed S. 2560 to amend the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983. Also the House agreed to H. Res. 521 providing for the consideration of a bill relating to the Omnibus Drug Initiative. The House passed H.R. 1580 Anti-Apartheid Act amendments to prohibit investments in and certain other activities with respect to South Africa; and H.R. 5143 District of Columbia Bonds to waive the period of Congressional review for certain D.C. acts authorizing the issuance of revenue bonds. The House also agreed to the Senate amendment to H.R. 5141 Sea Turtle Conservation Act, and to the Whitten motion to agree to the Senate amendment No. 25, and disagreed to amendments Nos. 1-24 to H.R. 5026 Dire Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for FY89.
