Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
House Session - May 20, 1991

The House read a letter from the President wherein he notified Congress of the actions taken regarding Japan’s trade in sea turtles. The House voted to pass H.R. 2127, to amend the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The House completed all general debate and began consideration of amendments on H.R. 2100, to authorize appropriations for the next two fiscal years for the Department of Defense. The Dellums amendment that sought to end the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization was rejected.
