The House approved a resolution expressing gratitude for the three Capitol Police officers who responded to the shooting at the congressional Republican baseball practice. Members also approved health care bills. One would give tax credits to veterans who buy private health insurance outside the VA health system. The other would provide tax credits to people why buy health insurance through COBRA. COBRA is a law that allows people to stay on the health insurance plan offered by their former employer, but the person must pay the full cost of coverage without a subsidy from the former employer.
