The House failed to override the President Biden's veto of a resolution repealing a Commerce Department rule delaying new tariffs on solar imports assembled in four Southeastern Asian countries (Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam) using parts from China. Lawmakers also approved a repeal of a Department of Education rule on federal student loan forgiveness, passed a suspension bill that was debated earlier in the week, and began consideration of legislation to permanently classify all fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I controlled drugs.
