House Passes FAA Reauthorization, 387-26
House Session - January 10, 2024

The House failed to pass the debate rules for three upcoming bills, the second rule vote failure since Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was elected to the presiding officer position at the end of October 2023. Thirteen Republicans voted against the rule in protest to the agreement Speaker Johnson made with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on a $1.66 trillion agreement to fund the government for fiscal year 2024. Members later debated four bills under suspension of the rules. Votes on the measures were postponed.
