The Senate began consideration of H.R. 1594 which would have given favored-nation status to Hungary. The bill would extend nondiscriminatory treatment to Hungarian products for three years. The Senate continued consideration of H.R. 1594 which incorporated S. 504. The legislation would permanently extend duty-free access to U.S. markets for exports from the Caribbean Basin.
