Senate Session - July 28, 1993

The Senate began with morning business, then continued consideration on the Appropriations bill for the Commerce Department, the Justice Department, and State Department. Speeches began with deficit reduction, the President’s economic plan, Plan on using airpower in Bosnia, and cuts in spending, among others. Later they debated S.2519 with amendments on the death penalty for Terrorism, salary for Boundary Commissioner, assistance for Nicaragua, removal of Russian troops from the Baltic states, that prison inmates be paid minimum wage when working at a prison, endowment spending, and others.
