Senate Session - May 7, 2012

The Senate will begin consideration of the motion to proceed to S 2343, a bill to prevent student loan interest rates from doubling in July.
*At 4:30pm, the Senate will turn to executive session to consider three judicial nominations. They are:
-Jacqueline H. Nguyen to be a US Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Circuit
-Kristine Gerhard Baker to be a US District Court Judge for the Eastern District of
Arkansas
-John Z. Lee to be a US District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois
*At 5:30pm, the Senate will take roll call votes on at least one of the judicial nominations listed above. It is possible that the Baker and Lee nominations will be approved on voice votes.
