The Senate Will Convene At 10:00 AM Today
Senate Session - June 21, 2023

The Senate failed, 50-50, to get the 2/3 majority needed to override President Biden's veto of legislation repealing the EPA's stricter emission standards rule for heavy-duty trucks. Senator Joe Manchin (WV) was the only Democrat to vote "yes" along with all Republicans. Members also confirmed Natasha Merle's nomination to be a U.S. District Court judge for Eastern New York, and voted to move forward with a tax treaty with Chile.
