The Senate worked on a House-passed government funding measure. This bill would extend funding for part of the government beyond the March 8 deadline until the end of the fiscal year on September 30, 2024. Members of Congress were also working on a second measure to fund the remainder of the government, with a deadline of midnight on March 22 for those programs. Senators also approved a measure to reauthorize and expand a law compensating Americans exposed to radiation by the federal government, and confirmed Adrienne Jennings Noti to be an associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the term of 15 years.
