In a session titled, “Brave New World: Monopoly, Media, and the Right To Know,” authors discussed media monopolies, new media such as web logs (blogs), and the complex relationship between media, the public, and politicians. Mr. Shaw served as moderator. After the discussion the panelists answered audience members' questions.
