Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered keynote remarks at the Federalist Society’s National Lawyers Convention in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Sessions announced that the Justice Department is now prohibited from issuing regulatory guidance documents that create new rules. In addition, he discussed the rule of law, judicial nominees, and President Trump’s immigration enforcement policies.

Also, a panel discussion of law professors and financial policy experts talked about the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory law and the Financial Stability Oversight Council. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Carlos Bea moderated the discussion. close
