Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI), Congressional Equality Caucus chair, held a press conference to commemorate “Day of (No) Silence". Formerly known as "Day of Silence,” an annual event in which students take a vow of silence to symbolize the impact homophobia has on LGBTQ youth, “Day of (No) Silence” advocates for action. Members of Congress and advocates joined the press conference to discuss the impact bullying and anti-LGBTQ legislation has on youth, as well as congressional efforts to create more inclusive learning environments. close
