One Nation, After All

Mr. Alan Wolfe and others discussed his new book, One Nation, After All: What Middle Class Americans Really Think about God, Country, Family, Racism, Welfare, Immigration, Homosexuality, Work, The Right, The Left and Each Other. Mr. Wolfe spoke about his attempt to uncover middle class moral attitudes through interviews with over 200 residents in eight different cities. In his remarks, he focused on attitudes toward God, country and family. In the book, he concludes that most citizens have similar moral attitudes and are fairly tolerant of others. Then the other panelists commented on his methods and conclusions. They also took questions from the audience. close
