Patricia Ireland, President of the National Organization of Women (NOW) announced that NOW would not be filing an amicus brief on behalf of Paula Jones in Ms. Jones' appeal of a decision that threw out of court her lawsuit against President Clinton. Ms. Ireland said that this particular case was difficult and that “hard cases make bad laws.” She also outlined a ten-point initiative to help reduce sexual harassment in the workplace. close
