In a session titled, “The Paris Agreement: History’s Judgment,” moderated by former Secretary Haig, the panelists discussed the history of the Vietnam War and events leading up to the peace negotiations in Paris in 1972. Prior to the question and answer period, former Secretary of State Kissinger explained the thinking of President Nixon, Secretary Haig, and himself at the time of the Accord.
