Among these were New Mexico land claims, which concerned land claims in the state of New Mexico dating to the 1848 treaty ending the U.S.-Mexico War. Other topics included bilingual education, special order speeches, and the independent counsel report on the president. Bills on bird hunting regulation, New Mexico land claims, and bilingual education were all passed. close
