Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD) talked about the Patient’s Bill of Rights. He stated that he was very disappointed in the Republicans for introducing the same bill as last year. Both Senator Daschle and Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) said that they are in favor of a protection for patients though, and are going to work hard to produce legislation for this protection. They responded to questions from reporters. The senators also spoke about the impeachment trial. Senator Kennedy commented that he liked the presentation of the defense. Senator Daschle mentioned that the defense gave the complete story, whereas the House managers did not give the complete story. close
