Senator Breaux stated that their is enough evidence at this point to make a rational decision about the removal of the president. He said that the evidence that has been brought forth in the Senate impeachment trial does not warrant removal of the president from office. He also mentioned that there are a number of senators who do not believe witnesses are necessary to make a decision about the president’s removal from office. He responded to questions from reporters. close
