President Oscar Arias spoke about global peace, arguing that the world faced a spiritual crisis because, in all areas of the world, property was valued over human life. He was also critical of the U.S., noting that it was responsible for most of the world’s weapons manufacturing and distribution. After his remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
