After a meeting with prominent business leaders, President Clinton talked to reporters about economic investment in economically distressed areas. He said that while parts of the country had no new investment, no new jobs, and that 37 cities had unemployment rates that were double the national average. He urged business leaders to invest in these areas and characterized them as America’s best emerging markets. close
