Ms. Jordan, Senator Alan Cranston’s chief banking aide, testified that the she did not warn Senator Cranston against dealing closely with Charles H. Keating, Jr. She stated that the efforts made by Senator Cranston and his office on behalf of Mr. Keating, head of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan, had been no greater than efforts put forth for other constituents. The committee expressed frustration over Ms. Jordan’s inability to recall key meetings between Senator Cranston and Mr. Keating. close
