The Senate passed H.R. 1212, to prevent the denial of employment opportunities by prohibiting the use of lie detectors by employers involved in or affecting interstate commerce. Senate began consideration of S. 1721, to improve the congressional oversight of certain intelligence activities, and to strengthen the process by which such activities are approved within the Executive Branch.
