A panel of congressional staff members who work on agriculture legislation discussed issues in developing the next farm bill and its impact on future farm policy. After their prepared remarks the panelists answered audience questions. Following the panel Secretary Veneman and Administrator Whitman spoke separately about agricultural, environmental, and free trade issues. Several Mexican officials were present and Secretary Usabiaga spoke briefly about NAFTA and free trade. close
