Animal behaviorist Jane Goodall talked to students about her research among the chimpanzees of Gombe National Park in Tanzania, East Africa. Ms. Goodall is the author of a new children’s book, The Chimpanzees I Love: Saving Their World and Ours, published by Scholastic Press. She shared anecdotes about chimpanzee behavior, emotions and language. She also talked about her organization Roots and Shoots that encourages students to protect animals and the environment. A question-and-answer period followed Ms. Goodall’s presentation. close
