Author T.R. Reid talked about his book, The Chip: How Two Americans Invented the Microchip and Launched a Revolution, published by Random House. The book is about two young engineers, Jack Kilby and Robert Noyes, who, working separately, invented the silicon microchip. Mr. Reid talked about how their development allowed the computer chip to shrink in size and cost. After his presentation he answered audience questions. close
