Author Da Chen discussed the second volume of his memoir, Sounds of the River, published by HarperCollins. The book begins with Chen’s first train ride as a teenager, when he left his farm in midland China to attend university in Beijing, and ends with his first airplane ride to America. Throughout this event, Chen answers questions from the audience about his childhood, his love for books and his life as a new American citizen. close
