Alma Powell talked with patrons as she signed her picture book, America’s Promise, published by Harpercollins Juvenile Books. In this picture book, Mrs. Powell introduces young readers to the basic principles of America’s Promise of caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, marketable skills, and opportunities to serve. She also says that America promises to inspire all to make America a better place for our children. She is donating all of her royalties for this book to America’s Promise - The Alliance for Youth. close
