Author and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich discussed his latest book I’ll Be Short: Essentials for a Decent Working Society, published by Beacon Press. In it, Mr. Reich maintains that the once widely accepted American social contract is disintegrating, and as a result, the social fabric of America is falling apart. Reich argues that it is only through participation and recognized responsibility of corporate businesses, citizens, and the government alike that this social contract can be renewed.
