Author Paul Holmes discussed The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Crisis in the Middle East, published by Prentice Hall. He and the other contributors to the book served as current and former Jerusalem bureau chiefs, correspondents, and photojournalists with Reuters, who collectively reported from the Middle East for over sixty years. As well as painting a portrait of the city of Jerusalem, the book examined the history of the region, the history of the current Palestinian uprising, or Intifada, important leaders involved in the conflict, the failure of diplomacy, and the response of the residents of the region. In addition to relating his personal experiences as the Reuters Bureau Chief in Jerusalem, Mr. Holmes utilized a Powerpoint presentation of the photographs in the book to convey the story. After his presentation he answered questions from members of the audience. close
