Jacques Steinberg talked about his book, The Gatekeepers: Inside the Admissions Process of a Premier College, published by Viking, at the Atticus Book Store in Middletown, Connecticut. The author, an education reporter for the New York Times, followed the process of admissions from the perspective of admissions officer Ralph Figueroa as he and his colleagues processed thousands of applications from high school seniors. Mr. Figueroa is an admissions officer at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. After the presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience. close
