The USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier was currently underway in the Persian Gulf, taking part in Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was one of 5 US aircraft carriers sailing the waters in the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea that were involved in military action with Iraq. Kitty Hawk air wing commander Patrick Driscoll spoke with members of the media on board the ship about the first week’s worth of bombing in Iraq, concentrating on the Kitty Hawk’s missions in relation to the other aircraft carriers. He also responded to questions from the reporters. close
