Kerry Campaign Event

Senator Kerry spoke at a rally for his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. He pledged that if he was elected that he would stop companies moving their headquarters overseas, put restrictions on legislators becoming lobbyists, make all meetings of officials and lobbyists open to the public, reform health care, and make the nation energy independent. He also spoke about his environmental record, educational programs, and foreign policy. He focused on opposition to President Bush in the election. Arizona was one of the states to hold its primary election the next day, on Tuesday, February 3, 2004. close
