Civil War historians and social scientists discussed regional perceptions of the Civil War, which still differ 139 years later. The roundtable, titled “Why Are We Still Fighting the Civil War,” was part of the 2004 Georgia Historical Society Winter Meeting held at the Georgia Public Broadcasting Headquarters. A question and answer session followed the panel discussion.
