Buckley, Jr. and his son Christopher Buckley made their first joint stage appearance to consider the future of American conservatism in a mock episode of Firing Line, William Buckley’s former television program. Christopher Buckley was also the author of many satires and was for a while a speechwriter for Vice President George H.W. Bush. Topics included the Iraq War, Barry Goldwater, the history of conservatism, the future of conservatism, and religion.
